"Together We Can"

Business, Education, Health Care, Research, Tourism -- Avenues West has it all!

Help Highland Community School send Milwaukee public school children to China to participate in their first-ever, international Montessori Model United Nations conference.  (Read more...)

A beautiful tree-scape mixed with a dozen church steeples and amazing architecture like the Domes, the Potawatomi Hotel and you only begin to describe the scenery of one the greatest views in the City of Milwaukee.  It seems the sun is always shining on this portion of the City.

A stroll along Clybourn Avenue starting at 25th, going east, becomes quite interesting as you see large retrofitted factories like Zimmerman Architectural Studios, Inc., the Hoan Bridge and even looking north, the Ambassador Hotel.

This unique path, that is only divided by the Menomonee Valley by a few feet and a 65 foot elevation, highlights not only a large area of the City but also the diversity of our geography.

Avenues West is home to the "Greatest View In the City", find out why in this

latest blog post.

Avenues West in the News: "Turning Black into Green" by Keith Stanley

We are almost there! Daddy's, the new soul food restaurant coming to the SOHI District /Avenues West neighborhood on 27th and Wells, is polishing up the last few touches and we are so excited to see this dream come true for not just the owner's of Daddy's, Angela and Benjamin Smith but also John Hennessy owner of the SOHI Building and president of the Hennessy Group.

Milwaukee residents and owners, Angela and Benjamin have, as we say, "went all out" paying attention every detail.  With several televisions for patron viewing and decor that includes local African American artist Darron Reed, they are aiming not to just please our stomachs, but our hearts too.

Avenues West Association / BID #10 is working with Angela and Benjamin in efforts to develop marketing plans to promote to the local employees, residents and the City of Milwaukee.

The Avenues West Association is a not-for-profit neighborhood association that advocates for development and revitalization, aesthetic enhancement, cooperative marketing and planning, networking and safety throughout the Avenues West neighborhood.

Along with its partner -- the Avenues West Business Improvement District -- the association leads the way in promoting community stability, land balance and economic development.
